Scores of people in Abuakwa North Constituency in the Eastern Region of Ghana have threatened to hit the streets to demand that the autopsy report of the late MP for the area, JB Danquah-Adu be made public.
Dr Lawrence Adusei, the pathologist who conducted the autopsy on the former legislator, revealed at the Accra Central District Court on Thursday that the report is missing.
According to him, his house was burgled in September 2017 and the computer which contained the autopsy report and thousands of other autopsy reports was stolen by the thieves.
Dr Adusei was before the court, presided over by Ms Arit Nsemoh, after he had been subpoenaed in November 2017 to explain why he had not furnished the police with the full autopsy report, 21 months after Mr Danquah-Adu was murdered.
The claim of the Pathologist has shocked many of his constituents who believe there is an attempt to cover up the murder of the Legislator.
They told omanfm1071.Com that they will not hesitate to hit the streets anytime soon if the pathologist fails to produce the report by the next court hearing.
The threats of the residents follow that from an uncle of the deceased, Kwasi Frimpong that the pathologist must be arrested.
“The pathologist should be arrested now to assist with investigations, his claim that the autopsy report is missing is unfounded and ought to be investigated…,” he appealed.
