Policeman guns down armed robber who tried seizing his weapon

A police officer with the Upper West Regional Police Patrol Unit, Lance Corporal Dominic Gyamfi, on Wednesday dawn shot and killed one of three robbers who tried seizing his fully loaded AK 47 assault rifle at gunpoint
The cop who had just arrived in Kumasi from Wa on escort duties, at about 2:55am, was on his way to the Kumasi Central Police Station charge office to hand over his rifle for safe keeping when three young men attacked him at gunpoint and attempted to take his rifle from him.
He fired one of them who died on the spot. The other two escaped on sensing danger.
Police disclosed to Omanfm1071.com that that the incident happened at Pampaso.
The body of the deceased was later conveyed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital pending autopsy.
