Nenyi George Andah outlines 2018 plan for Awutu Senya West

The Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya West constituency in the Central Region Nenyi George Andah has outlined his plans by empowering and improving the living conditions of his constituents in 2018.

Nenyi George Andah, who is also the Deputy Minister of Communications, said he would ensure that the teething challenges confronting Senior High Schools in the constituency following the implementation of the Free SHS are addressed to bring relief to the students.

"I'm also going to focus on building capacity amongst the youth in terms of technical, vocational and leadership skills and competencies, getting more employment opportunities for the youth, rehabilitation of Bawjiase and other key markets, rehabilitation of the Bawjiase to Obrachire road, and other major connecting roads within the constituency," he said.

He added that he would improve on the poor conditions of the health facilities in Awutu Breku, Bawjiase, and Senya as well as take steps to ensure that the peace and unity being witnessed in the constituency is sustained.

The Awutu Senya West MP made his 2018 plans known on Wednesday, 13th December, 2017, when he interacted with Queen Mothers in the constituency for him to get abreast with issues affecting them and look at the possible ways of resolving them.

Nenyi George Andah who spent the whole Wednesday in the constituency also enumerated achievements of the governing New Patriotic Party barely one year in office.

The Queen Mothers underscored the need for the MP to find ways of supporting them since most of them are unemployed.

They endorsed the MP’s plan for capacity building and suggested that he hasten consideration for entrepreneurial skills development since most of the girls in their communities are seeking for support to venture in various skills and trade.

The MP donated an undisclosed amount of money to the Queen Mothers and asked them to make good use of the money by targeting at least one beneficiary from each of the communities within the constituency in the first year.

Nenyi George Andah and his team joined the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, which was organized by the Directorate of Education in the district for all the schools in Bawjiase.

He wished everyone at that session happiness, joy, peace and prosperity.

He invited the community to join hands with him as they develop the community and constituency in 2018.

In accordance with his commitment to staying close to the community, the MP hinted that he will be spending time in the constituency during the Christmas break to participate in the Festival of 9 Lessons and Carols in Senya, a Unity - Health walk in Beraku and a Faith Leadership engagement.
