12 people die mysteriously in Teshie

Twelve people are reported to have died under a mysterious circumstances at Agladzaa, a suburb of Teshie in the Greater Accra Region within a spate of one week.

The mysterious deaths is said to started last Monday, 4th December, 2017.

Oman FM has gathered that the unfortunate incident is causing fear and panic among residents in the community.

Speaking to Oman FM an eyewitness and a businessman Ben Foster Egbedzi, said the deceased persons died after they complained of severe headache and feverishness and were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

He explained that the deceased persons are from different homes in the community.

According to him, the bodies of the deceased have since been deposited at the mortuary in different hospitals including LA Polyclinic.

It is unclear whether the deceased persons died of meningitis or H1N1 swine flu which has already claimed the lives of some students in the Northern and Ashanti Regions.

The Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku Hon. Dr Okoe Boye whose jurisdiction the incident happened is yet to speak to the issue.
