Ken Agyapong grabs Lifetime Achievement Award in New York

Businessman and Member of Parliament for Assin Central in the Central Region, Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong was on Saturday, 21 October 2017, honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the United Nations headquarters in New York by We Care For Humanity (WCH) Group, a US based non-governmental organization that recognizes meritorious service to humanity.
The Award was in recognition of the MP’s humanitarian works in Ghana, Africa and other places in the world.

The Award was received on behalf of Hon. Kennedy Agyapong by Dr. Moses Okine, the programmes Director of Oman Fm, a subsidiary of Kencity Media Ltd.
Hon. Kennedy Agyapong who is also the Group Chairman for Kencity Media Ltd was nominated for the Lifetime Achievement Award in June, 2017.
WCH was founded in 2011 by Her Highness Princess Raden Dato'Seri Maria Amor Torres, a Filipino social activist based in Los Angeles.

WCH is an internationally recognized organization dealing mainly with current global issues and concerns such as Human Rights, World Peace, Education, Health and Wellness, Eradication of Poverty, Green Environment and Empowerment.
Speaking at the 5th Global Officials of Dignity Awards during the weekend Her Highness Princess Raden Dato'Seri Maria Amor Torres noted in the citation accompanying the prestigious Award that the humanitarian efforts of Hon Ken Agyepong goes beyond the borders and shores of Ghana.
She emphasized that it was the first time an individual had been awarded with all the three categories of Scholarship Grants, Women Support and Disaster Reliefs.
She lauded the selfless effort and commitment of the Assin Central MP in championing the welfare of the poor and needy in society by instituting scholarship grants which has lifted the beneficiaries.
“Your disaster relief efforts, which gained both local and international recognitions, support for flood and fire victims at Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra , relief for flood and cholera victims of Haiti as well as support for women in need, especially widows are commendable,” HRH Maria Amor Torres said.
Other Ghanaians, who were also recognized in various fields of humanitarian endeavours, were CEO of Despite Group Dr.Osei Kwame Despite, CEO of Special Ice Dr. Ofori Sarpong, CEO of Tobinco Pharmacy Dr. Amo Tobin and Janet Abobigu.

WCH also awarded some personalities from India, Kenya, Philippines, Bangladesh, Benin, Nigeria and USA.
