A former Member of Parliament for Ahafo Ano South Constituency in the Brong Ahafo Region, Mr Stephen Balado Manu has said President Nana Akufo-Addo deserves commendation for initiating the National Digital Property Address System.

According to him, the initiative will ease the frustrations many Ghanaians go through in searching for locations and identifying address.

Speaking on Oman FM's national agenda show on Wednesday, Mr. Balado Manu who narrated his frustrations of how he spent about 30 minutes trying to locate a place in Kumasi on Tuesday believed the initiative will ease the pain people go through to search for locations.

"If we are able to do this digital address system I believe all the struggles we go through will come an end,” he stated.

He said the country will benefit tremendously from the digital address system.

"With this initiative those who commit crime and go into can no longer do so because their data has been captured in the system. It will also help us to know the exact population of Ghana," he said.

Vokacom, a Ghanaian information technology firm, designed the system and it is partnering the Ghana Post Company Limited to roll it out, with the National Information Technology Agency (NITA), expected to host the data.
