Ghana's President Nana Addo Darkwa Akufo-Addo has reiterated his resolve and commitment to fulfill all the promises he made prior to the 2016 General Elections.

According to him, he will not renege on those promises as suggested by his critics that he was only making promises to get votes.

"What I don't want to hear is, when the history of Ghana is being told and it will be said that Akufo-Addo came to deceive to Ghanaians...The Lord forbid it ...I have not come to deceive Ghanaians.

"What I promised to do I still stand by them and we have already started fulfilling some of them, " he said.

President Nana Akufo-Addo was addressing supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party at Cape Coast in the Central Region during the NPP's National Delegates Conference.

The President promised Free Senior High School, 1 District 1 Factory, 1million dollars for each of 275 constituencies, 1 District 1 Dam for the 3 Northern Regions, Establishment of Zongo Development Fund among others.

The President last Friday launched the 1 District 1 Factory programme at Ekumfi Eyisam in the Central Region and cut the sod for the establishment of the first factory under the programme in Ekumfi Nanaben on the same day.

He has also earmarked GHS219m for the establishment of Zongo Development Fund.

President Nana Akufo-Addo also pledged his commitment to harness the country's vast resources both human and natural to develop the country.

He blamed the previous National Democratic Congress administration for mismanaging the economy during their tenure.

He gave an assurance that despite the fact that his administration inherited huge debts, his administration had put measures in place to restore the economy and create jobs and prosperity for all.

"I came to inherit huge debt just as Kufuor but you all saw the level of developments Kufuor did, so I'm calling on you to continue to support me to develop the country.

President Nana Akufo-Addo commended chiefs and people of the Central Region for voting massively for him during the last elections.
