Agya Koo praises Akufo-Addo for fulfilling 1 District 1 Factory promise

Award winning and celebrated Ghanaian actor Kofi Adu popularly known as Agya Koo has praised President Nana Akufo-Addo for actualising his vision of establishing a factory in each district across the country.

According to him, he is grateful to President Akufo-Addo for plans to launch 1 District 1 Factory he promised the good people of Ghana during the 2016 general elections.

"When you promise and you fail to honour it even God will not bless you ...So I'm very excited that President will be launching the programme today," he stated.

President Nana Akufo-Addo is scheduled to launch the 1 District 1 Factory in Ekumfi Eyisam in the Central Region in the afternoon today(Friday ).

The President will later perform a sod cutting ceremony at Ekumfi Nanaben where the first pineapple factory under the 1District 1 Factory is to be established.

Speaking to Oman FM in an interview at Eyisam Agya Koo could not hide his excitement when he said "I'm very excited today because the President is actualising his vision."

Agya Koo who played a key role in the ruling New Patriotic Party's 2016 campaign said it would have been very difficult for him to talk about NPP to anyone if Nana Akufo-Addo had reneged on his campaign promises.

He told critics of President Akufo-Addo who doubt the viability of the programme to have a change of mind.

"Those who are saying Nana Akufo-Addo cannot implement the 1 District 1 Factory policy should change their minds because if they don't decide now, it will be too late for them... By the time they finally decides those who bought into the idea would have benefited from it,"he stressed.

He urged Ghanaians to embrace the policy assuring that government is ready to support entrepreneurs who are interested in the policy.
