Gov’t Stolen Car Retrieved in Ashaiman

THE vigilance of the residents of Ashaiman Lebanon zone 5 has led the discovery of the one of the government stolen cars on, Tuesday, 11 July 2017.

The Toyota Land Cruiser with registration number GV: 2155-14 was found parked at a fitting shop in the neighborhood.

Some of the residents who spoke to Oman News indicated that they became suspicious upon seeing the manner in which the mechanic was dismantling the car and therefore reported it to the police.

One of the back doors had been dismantled while the two batteries had also been removed when police officers got to the scene.

The incident attracted scores of residents to the scene to catch a glimpse for themselves.

Daniel Korletey, who is the owner of the fitting shop, told Oman News that the car was brought to him from Sunyani by a family member to work on.

The car has since been towed to the Ashaiman Divisional Police Command for further investigation.
