Don’t Misbehave Because NPP is in power-John Boadu

The Acting General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party Mr John Boadu has cautioned supporters of the party not to take Ghanaians for granted and misbehave because their party is in power.

According to him, Ghanaians voted for Nana Akufo-Addo and for that matter NPP because they were looking for a party which will solve their problems and so are watching whether NPP will solve the problems confronting the country or fight among themselves.

“Ghanaians are watching us. They did not vote for us to fight among ourselves. They voted for NPP led by Nana Akufo-Addo because of the good policies and programmes of the party and so they are watching us whether we will deliver on those promises or fight,” he stated.

Addressing supporters and executives of the Tema Central NPP at their Annual Constituency Delegates Conference, Mr John Boadu, who is also the National Organiser of the party, urged the supporters to work hard to strengthen the party at the grassroots.

He was of the view that when this is done and the party is able to execute its manifesto promises, it will be possible for NPP to win elections in succession and be the first party to win elections in progression.

He noted that the appointment of some party executives had created huge vacuum at the various levels of the party and stressing that the vacuum needed to be filled.

He charged the supporters to elect officers with integrity during the upcoming electoral area, constituency, regional and national elections to fill various positions.

He advised the constituency executives to put together all their concerns regarding portions of the party’s constitution and present it to the regional executives for it to be forwarded to the region for consideration during the party's national delegates conference scheduled for August.

Mr. Boadu was confident that all the issues surrounding the party’s constitution will be resolved during the upcoming national delegates’ conference at Cape Coast in August this year.
