Stop “Needless” Lynching Of Fellow Human Beings–Rebecca Akufo-Addo tells Ghanaians

Ghana's First Lady, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo has condemned the barbaric lynching of Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama of the 5th Infantry Battalion of the Ghana Armed Forces by the youth of Denkyira Boase in the Central Region on Monday.
Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo who was in a solemn mood could not fathom why the youth of Denkyira could lynch a fellow human being in the manner they did.
"It's very difficult to believe what happened. Everybody is disturbed about the unfortunate development," she said.
"When you look at how such a fine man was being lynched by his fellow human beings while others were filming the acts it shows how wicked we have become,” she added.
Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo these comments when the Paramount Queen mother of Denkyira, Nana Ama Ayensuaa Saara (III) led a delegation of Queen mother from the Central Region to pay a courtesy call on her.
She appealed to Ghanaians, who have been engaging in such practices to put a stop to it immediately, saying that it does not augur well for the country.
She urged Ghanaians to live in harmony and support each other in order to build a prosperous nation.
On her part, the Paramount Queen mother of Denkyira, Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III, who also condemned the lynching of Captain Mahama, asked the relatives of the deceased and Ghanaians to forgive the people of Denkyira.
She urged the public to desist from sharing the horrible photos of late Captain Mahama on social media platforms.
Nana Ama Ayensua Saara (III) further called on the media to be circumspect in their reportage regarding the incident.
