The National Nasara Coordinator of the ruling New Patriotic Party administration Kamal -Deen is predicting that the Presidential results obtained by the opposition National Democratic Congress in 2016 election will drop by 5% during 2020 General Elections.
Former President John Mahama who was the 2016 presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress secured 44.4% of the total votes cast as against 53.2% obtained by the presidential candidate of the then opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Akufo-Addo.
But even before the election is held in December 2020 Kamal is convinced the NDC will be defeated by the NPP.
Speaking on Oman FM’s National Agenda programme he stated confidently that the NDC will suffer another defeat in 2020.
“I'm assuring you that NDC will nose dive from 44.4% it obtained during the 2016 December 7 polls to 39% in 2020 general elections,” he predicted.
He explained that the recent revelations of corrupt practices, which occurred during the eight years rule of NDC has shocked Ghanaians and thus will be difficult for them to return NDC to power anytime soon.
“When you look at the policies and programmes of Nana Akufo-Addo led New Patriotic Party administration which we have started implementing them Ghana will be like a “milk and honey” and Ghanaians will love it,” he said.
