A Financial Analyst and senior at the Kumasi Technical University Thomas Kusi Boafo, has urged President Akufo-Addo led New Patriotic Party government to prosecute officials of the immediate past Mills /Mahama administration who wrongfully looted state funds.
"Whoever has stolen Ghana's money is a criminal and has to be arrested and prosecuted," he suggested.
According to him, Ghanaians expect Akufo-Addo's government to retrieve moneys which were stolen by members of the previous administration.
He explained that Ghanaian will not forgive him if he fails to do so.
His comment follows revelation to the effect that four former board members of National Communications Authority including the Director General William Tevie withdrew $3 million cash belonging to the authority and shared among themselves.
President Nana Akufo-Addo while addressing Ghanaian the community in Sierra Leone last week warned that he will not shield any corrupt official in his administration.
Speaking on Oman FM's National Agenda, Mr. Kusi Boafo, claimed that officials of the immediate past administration amassed so much wealth that they will not feel the pain of being in opposition for the next eight years.
"They have become "filthy rich" as a result of corruption. They have become richer that even in opposition they can use the money to fight the government,” he stated.
He accused Mahama administration of handing over a collapsed economy to the Akufo-Addo led New Patriotic Party administration.
