The Head Pastor of Destiny Sanctuary of the Victory Bible Church in Kasoa in the Central Region, Rev Mrs. Martha Asante, has refuted the notion that women talk more than the their male counterpart.

According to her, it is not true that women talk more than men as it has been the notion for ages.

"It is not true that we women talk more than men" she said.

She thus urged women in the country to reject this notion and not to allow "this tradition that we talk more than men to discourage you.”

Delivering a sermon on the theme, "The uniqueness of womanhood in leadership" at the Miracle Temple of the International Central Gospel Church in Tema community 12 on Mother’s Day, Rev Mrs. Martha Asante, held the congregation spell bound when she proved that men rather talk more than women.

Quoting Genesis 3:9-13 to buttress her point, Rev. Mrs. Asante explained that Adam spoke more than Eve did, when God engaged them in a conversation in the Garden of Eden, after they disobeyed God by eating the forbidden fruit.

“And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. And he said, Who told thee that thou was naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.”

She stressed on the need for women to consider themselves as unique beings saying “you are so important in the sight of God and so don’t lose sight of the fact that God has made you special.”

“Only women are endowed with the ability to give birth to Presidents,” Rev. Mrs. Asante who is credited with about four books indicated.

Touching on the need for women to use their gifts and potentials to serve God in many capacities, Rev. Mrs. Asante, urged women to emulate women who made great impact in their time like Deborah, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of Jesus Christ.
