CPC donates to First Lady ahead of Mother’s Day

The Cocoa Processing Company Limited (CPC), producers of Golden tree chocolate has donated assorted cocoa products to the First Lady Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo to support her activities on Mother’s Day.

The gesture was to enable Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo to reach more mothers and children as Ghanaians join the world to mark Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 14, 2017.

The company observed that, since Mrs. Akufo-Addo became the First Lady of the Republic, she had made tremendous efforts to help women and children in the country, hence the need to offer her support to do more.

Deputy Managing Director in charge operations Mr. Kwabena Frimpong and the Public Relations Officers of CPC Madam Olivia Dortey were part of the delegation who presented the items.

Speaking to Oman News, after the presentation of the items, the Marketing Manager of Cocoa Processing Company, Madam Genevieve Pawar commended the First Lady for her interest in the development of women and children.

“We are here to wish our mother happy Mother’s Day and support her with these items because we know that she will be doing a lot of activities on Mother’s Day,” she said.

She pledged the commitment of CPC to support the First Lady continuously to enable her offer assistance to women and children.

The Operations Manager at the Office of the First Lady, Mrs. Akosua Newman, who received the items on behalf of the First Lady expressed gratitude to the management of CPC for the gesture.

She indicated that the items would be distributed to mothers on Mother’s Day for them to enjoy.

She appealed to them to often come in and support the First Lady's initiatives.
