Let’s eschew partisanship for accelerated dev’t of Kpone-Katamanso-DCE Elect

The newly elected District Chief Executive for Kpone Katamanso District Assembly in the Greater Accra region, Mr. Solomon Appiah, has called on the Assembly Members and staff of the Assembly to eschew extreme partisanship and unite to accelerate the development of the district.
He explained that extreme partisanship at the Assembly has impeded development of the District and stressed on the need to relegate partisanship to the background and chart a new path to fast truck the development of the area.
"We can only develop Kpone Katamanso District if and only if we wean off partisan attire and embrace unity.
"The end product of unity is development beyond imagination. Unity is the fulcrum for development, he said.

He added that the Assembly would be able to execute President's vision of creating jobs for the teaming unemployed youth and also realizing the one District One Factory program if the staff and Assembly members are united.
"I call for unity among us to be able to achieve the One District One Factory and One District One Dam policy of the government," Mr. Solomon Appiah stated.
Mr. Solomon Appiah made the call after he was given an overwhelming endorsement by all the 25 Assembly members who voted “yes” to approve his nomination.

The exercise was witnessed by the Greater Accra Regional Minister Hon. Ishmael Ashittey and his Deputy Hon Elizabeth K. T. Sackey, Greater Accra NPP Women Organiser Joyce Zempare, Members of Parliament for Kpone Katamanso Hon Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo, Traditional Leaders and supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party.

Appiah, who was the 2016 parliamentary candidate for the ruling New Patriotic Party promised to serve people in the district irrespective of their political affiliations.
He expressed his gratitude to President Nana Akufo-Addo and the Assembly Members for the confidence reposed in him.

He also used the opportunity to thank family members and members of his party for supporting him in prayers and in kind.
On his part the Member of Parliament for Kpone Katamanso Hon Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo advised the DCE to unite the people in the district by being the father for all.

The legislator who commended the Assembly members for approving the President’s nominee charged the newly elected DCE to serve the interest of the people in the district, saying “that is the only way he can keep his position.”
