We’re working to restore power soon-GRIDco

The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDco) is appealing to Ghanaians to remain calm as work is currently ongoing to restore power in the country.

Several parts of the country on, Wednesday night experienced blackout following what officials say was a surge in power, which resulted in shutdown of generators in the power system.

As at about 10am Thursday, May 4, 2o17 several parts were still experiencing blackout with only few places having their power restored.

A statement signed by the Head of Public Relations Officer for GRIDco Mr. Albert Kwesi Quainoo noted that technical teams in the value-chain have been working around the clock to restore the power system into service Restoration to enable Ghanaians enjoy electricity.

“GRIDco appreciates the inconvenience consumers experienced and will keep the public updated on any developments on the supply situation,” the statement indicated.

The statement further indicated that details of the cause of the outage will be communicated to the media on completion of preliminary investigations.
