He was hopeful the provision of the items will enable the staff of these health facilities to attend to emergencies and deliveries.
Hon Amankwah indicated his resolve to solicit for more support for all the health facilities in the area, because the health of his constituents, are his topmost priority.
On her part, the Kumasi Metro Director of Health Services, Dr Alberta Nyarko Britwum, expressed her delight at the timely intervention of the Manhyia North MP.
According to her, government alone cannot resolve the challenges confronting the health sector and would depend on such donations to augment the efforts of government.
The constant neglect of medical needs at the local communities in the country, the director noted, has had dire consequences on the people.
With nursing mothers and pregnant mothers dying for lack of ambulance to convey them to a health facility, Dr. Nyarko intimated that such assistance by the MP is timely.
Nana Owusu Bempah, chief of Buokrom thanked the MP for the gesture.
He called for support from the people to ensure the MP delivers on his promises.
