Two people have allegedly committed suicide in Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region.
The alleged suicide incident involving two males occurred separately in Lebanon Zone 2 and Jericho Agric Park, both suburb of Ashaiman on Saturday and Monday respectively.
The deceased who were spotted hanging on a tree according to eyewitnesses are in their early 30s.
Residents of Jericho who spoke to Oman FM gave the victim’s name as Bright Wovi.
He was found hanging on the tree Monday morning when some of them woke up to attend to nature’s call in a nearby bush.
The residents alleged that the deceased who is a driver by profession took to drinking recently and as a result was behaving abnormally and having disagreements with the mother.
Scores of residents thronged the deceased's family home after news of his death went viral Monday morning.

Speaking to Oman FM, Assembly member for the Nii Doku Electoral Area, Yusif Gariba said “it was around 6:00am that I was called by one of the watchdog committee members in the area that a young man believed in his thirties has allegedly committed suicide on a tree at the Jericho Agric Park.”
“So I rushed in quickly to see things for myself and indeed it was true. When I got there, I tried getting some of the area guys to identify the person but unfortunately, none of them could identify the face so I suspect he is not from the area, but rather he just came to commit the act here”
The Tema Regional Police Public Relations Officer ASP Juliana Obeng confirmed the incident to Oman FM when contacted.
She however could not give further details.
The body of the deceased has since been conveyed to the police hospital morgue for autopsy.
In a related development, a lady has also allegedly committed suicide at Ekye Presbyterian clinic in the Eastern Region.
The deceased, 26 -year –old Leticia Amarki was found hanging on a rope by a water reservoir at the clinic in the Afram Plains South District.
The married woman with two children was on the verge of a divorce after a protracted conflict with her husband.
She was found by a dawn evangelist who was moving to the hospital to visit patients and preach.
