Elect competent people to the Council of State ....Ekumfi MP

Member of Parliament for Ekumfi constituency in the central region Kingsley Ato Codjoe has charged representatives of the various Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assembly's who will be voting to elect regional representatives to the Council of State to elect competent and independent minded people who will offer wise counsel to the government.

This, he explained , will help President Nana Akufo -Addo led New Patriotic Party administration to implement its manifesto promises.

"Those going to vote should elect competent and independent minded persons. They should vote for those who will offer wise counsel not like those we saw during the previous administration," he stated.

He mentioned that the party has a well thought out programmes such as free SHS, 1 district 1 factory, 1million dollar seed capital for each constituency and 1 village 1 dam which are aimed to transform lives hence required competent people who will support its implementation. Speaking on Oman FM, Thursday Hon. Ato Codjoe urged those voting to put the interest of the nation first.

About 432 assembly members from across the country are voting today to elect representatives of the ten regions to the Council of State.

This is in accordance with the provisions of Article 89 of the 1992 constitution.
