A Deputy Chief of Staff designate of the incoming New Patriotic Party administration Samuel Abu Jinapor has assured Ghanaians that there will be a clear distinction between the youthful appointees of the incoming New Patriotic Party administration and that of the outgoing National Democratic Congress.

He explained that unlike the youthful appointees of Mills/Mahama administration who exhibited arrogance and gaining notoriety for vilifying political opponents, appointees of the incoming Nana Akufo-Addo administration, he said, would be disciplined and behaved well in order to safeguard the reputation of the party and the president elect.

“I’m assuring Ghanaians that we are going to put our eyes down and exhibit humility. We will let Ghanaians know that there is a clear distinction between the appointees of the outgoing National Democratic Congress and that of the incoming New Patriotic Party administration.”

“We will seek to dignify the party and the president by not doing anything that will bring shame upon the government,’’ Abu Jinapor indicated.

Samuel Abu Jinapor was reacting to concerns by some Ghanaians that the nation may once again witness the immaturity and open display of arrogance by some ministers of the outgoing NDC, following his nomination and other administrative staff of the president- elect, who are considered to be youthful.

Speaking on Oman FM’s National Agenda Show on Thursday, Abu Jinapor stated that there was no way that those who had been given the opportunity to serve in the incoming NPP administration would tow the path of the appointees of the outgoing National Democratic Congress government.

He argued that the NPP had nurtured the youth of the party to be courteous, adding that those being nominated had been groomed by the president-elect himself and can vouched for their competencies and integrity.

“The NPP has nurtured us, so we are not going to misbehave like NDC appointees did. I’m even fortunate that I was nurtured by no other person than the man Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo himself. So I will not do anything to tarnish his image or reputation. Rather, I will make sure that every step I will take will bring him honour.
