A former Vice Chairman of the outgoing National Democratic Congress(NDC) in the Ekumfi Constituency Samuel Adoko, popularly known as uncle Endoe, who defected to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the December 7 polls, has appealed to the president-elect Nana Akufo-Addo to consider the first-time NPP MP-elect for Ekumfi, Kingsley Ato Cudjoe, for a deputy ministerial appointment.
He said the people of Ekumfi would be very grateful to Nana Addo if he considered the MP-elect to serve in his administration.
Samuel Adoko made the appeal on Oman FM's political show "Boiling Point" during a discussion on the aftermath of the December 7 polls on Thursday.
"I'm appealing to Nana Akufo Addo to consider our Member of Parliament (MP)-elect for a deputy ministerial appointment, and the people of Ekumfi would be very grateful to him," he said.
Mr. Samuel Adoko indicated that the people of Ekumfi had been starved of a ministerial appointment since 1992, stressing that time it was about time the constituency was also honoured.
He said unlike previous MPs for Ekumfi constituency whose level of competence was very low, Ato Cudjoe, was an experienced charted accountant and a capable person who, given the opportunity, would do an excellent job.
He assured Nana Akufo-Addo that the people of Ekumfi would contribute their quota to support his administration to succeed.
