IPP’s Kofi Akpalu Declares Support For Nana Akufo-Addo

Disqualified Presidential Candidate of the Independent People’s Party (IPP) Mr. Kofi Akpalu has declared his support to the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
He explained that his decision to throw his support to Nana Akufo-Addo was borne out of the fact that the standard bearer of NPP shares in his vision of job creation.
Mr. Kofi Akpalu who was disqualified by the Electoral Commission (EC) over anomalies on his nomination forms announced his decision at a press conference, Thursday.
He indicated that after his disqualification the party convened an emergency meeting to discuss the way forward of the party and deliberated on a number of issues.
According to him, key among the issues they discussed was partnering with one of the contesting party’s so that they could push for the implementation of the party’s “fantastic ideas” regarding job creation.
“We have fantastic ideas, we have so much inside us and we want to share those ideas,” he stated.
He said the IPP decided to partner NPP because the party’s manifesto highlights an agenda for job creation for the youth.
Mr. Kofi Akpalu who called on the supporters of the party to vote for Nana Akufo-Addo and NPP promised to campaign vigorously for NPP to wrestle power from President Mahama and the NDC.
“We have decided to throw our support to the NPP’s presidential candidate Nana Akufo-Addo. All our executives are ready to work with us a team and do the necessary campaign to help the party capture power. We are all going to vote for the NPP and organize more Ghanaians to vote for Nana Addo,” he assured.
