Former Kotoko midfielder is unperturbed by his constant omission from the Black Stars despite his fine form.
The midfielder was in great form aiding Congolese side TP Mazembe to clinch their first ever CAF Confederations Cup title but was once again missing in Avram Grant’s roster for the Egypt tie.
Despite this, Nii Adjei is keeping himself grounded as he awaits his big opportunity.
“It means a lot to me winning the CAF Confederations Cup and it is an achievement that I can’t explain it.” Daniel said.
“I have won the Champions League, CAF Confederations Cup and the Super Cup. It is like winning everything on the African continent with the exception of the AFCON so it means a lot to me.
“I am not frustrated for not being able to merit Black Stars call up. It is normal but I have to work hard and hope to get into the team and have enough playing time.”
“I know if I don’t work hard and improve, I will not get the chance to play in the Black Stars so I always try to work hard and improve my work rate and I believe I will get a chance to be in the Black Stars.”
Nii Adjei won his second continental club title in two years.
