Addressing the Muslim community in Tema community 1,Hajia Samira Bawumia, questioned why the NDC is asking for another term in office since they have failed Ghanaians. " The NDC have been in government for 8 years and they couldn't perform to the satisfaction of Ghanaians, but they are again asking for another term in office. If they couldn't deliver on their on their promises to Ghanaians in 8 years is it 4 years that they would be able to deliver on those promises ? she quizzed.

Hajia Samira Bawumia accused the Mahama led administration of mismanaging the economy leading to the collapse of most of the social intervention programmes which were introduced by the erstwhile NPP administration led by President John Agyekum Kufuor. She noted that under the NDC administration National Health Insurance Scheme(NHIS), which benefited mostly the poor in society have collapsed, despite the huge resources at the disposal of the Mahama administration. Hajia Samira Bawumia praised Nana Akufo-Addo for his selflessness and love for the country, saying Nana Akufo -Addo did not accept allowances meant for ministers and also did not stay in government bungalow for 8 years when he served as a minister in Kufuor's government. She indicated that the country had gotten to a state where it needed a selfless and incorruptible person like Nana Akufo -Addo to govern it, and turn the economy around in order to bring relief to the suffering masses. She reminded the Ghanaians about the programme and plans of the next NPP government led by Nana Akufo -Addo including the Zongo Development Fund, one-District -one Factory as well as 1 million dollars seed fund to be allocated to each constituency. She appealed to the Muslim community to vote massively for Nana Akufo- Addo in the upcoming general elections saying NPP is the only party that cares about Muslims. She stated that the NPP would utilize the proposed Zongo Development Fund being to transform the Zongos, adding that the party would also introduced Arabic as an examinable subject in the Senior High School curriculum.

The Member of Parliament for Tema East constituency Hon. Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus Glover urged Ghanaians to repose confidence in Nana Akufo -Addo to deliver on his promises.
