The Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency in the Ashanti Region Hon. Henry Kwabena Kokofu has advised President John Dramani Mahama to stop wasting resources by attempting to buy the conscience of Ghanaians, because he has already lost the elections.
According to him, there is no way Ghanaians will retain him having performed poorly in his first term as President.
Speaking on Oman FM’s National Agenda, on Tuesday, said President Mahama will lose this year’s elections in spite of all the freebies he has been sharing on his campaign trail to influence the voting pattern o f the electorates.
Hon. Kokofu asserted that Ghana would be fortunate to experience the ‘wind of change’ which ushered into office a new government in countries like Cote D’voir, Nigeria, and Burkina Faso.
“I believe strongly that the wind of change, which ushered Alhassane Ouattara into the Presidency in Cote D’voire and proceeded to Nigeria and ushered General Mahamadu Buhari into the Presidency has gathered momentum and approaching Ghana. It will be in Ghana very soon and usher Nana Akufo-Addo into the presidency for him to offer selfless leadership to the people of Ghana,” Hon. Kokofu stated.
He was convinced that God would transfer the mantle of leadership from President Mahama to the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections.
“I’m convinced that the Lord who made it possible for former President John Agyekum Kufour to take over power from ex-president Rawlings will lead Nana Akufo-Addo into the presidency.”
