Spokesperson for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice Presidential Candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr. Anthony Abayifa Karbo has described Deputy General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Koku Anyidoho as the most useless person in the country.
Abayifa Karbo was responding to attacks on the running mate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia by Koku Anyidoho over the weekend.
Addressing a rally of NDC supporters in Kumasi on Saturday, Koku Anyidoho accused Dr. Bawumia of being a dishonest politician who has made lying his stock in trade and should not be rewarded with the second highest office of the land. He further described Dr. Bawumia as “Mutum Banza” a Hausa expression used to describe a person as “useless” or a “nonentity.” But reacting to his comment on Oman FM Anthony Karbo who chastised Koku Anyidoho for his vituperative outburst against the former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana argued that the former rather deserve to be labeled as “Mutum Banza” and not Dr. Bawumia.
“I think that the most useless person we have in this country is Koku Anyidoho. The most “Mutum Banza” “Dundum Banza” we have is Koku Anyihodo and not Dr. Bawumia. He should and find out the meaning of “Dumdum Banza” and he will regret,” he stated.
Anthony Karbo who is also the New Patriotic Party Parliamentary Candidate for Lawra Constituency in the Upper West also accused the NDC’s deputy scribe for developing hatred for people from the three Northern Regions.
He stated that the party and supporters of Dr Bawumia have had enough of Koku Anyidoho’s buffoonery, and would be compelled to respond in equal measure if the practice is not stopped. “We are ready for Koku Anyidho, because it is only in this country that he thinks he can continuously attack Dr Bawumia and go scot free. We will respond and the President will take the full responsibility for the actions that we are going to take in respect of these attacks on Dr Bawumia. This is not because we think he’s a god or an angel, we are all doing politics but when the attacks turn personal, it becomes a cause for concern.” He added: “We have a lot of arsenals to use to attack the person of President Mahama, but we’ll not go that way of insulting him. I don’t agree with his corruption, his incompetence and his greed, but it doesn’t mean that I will take this argument to a point that I will insult the person of the President.
