The New Patriotic Party 2016 Parliamentary Candidate for Awutu Senya West, Nenyi George Andah is convinced that majority of Ghanaians will vote out President Mahama's led NDC administration for Nana Akufo-Addo's led NPP government to be ushered in after the December 7 polls.
According to him, signs indicating the end of President Mahama administration are visible everywhere in the country.
Nenyi George Andah was contributing to discussion on Oman FM’s National Agenda Show on, Wednesday, about the reaction of residents of Darkuman Kokompe yesterday when President Mahama visited there as part of his tour of Greater Accra said the action of the residents was expected.
In a video that has gone viral on the social media, some residents and traders of Darkuman Kokompe are seen making the Change gesture and heard loudly shouting “yeri sesamu” “yeri sesamu” to wit “we want change” as the convoy of President Mahama passed by them.
The residents and traders who are ostensibly dissatisfied with the performance of President Mahama pursued his convoy amid shouting of “we want change, we want change.”
With a grimace face, President Mahama who was shocked by the action of the residents had no other option than to wave to the angry crowd.
Reacting to the issue, Nenyi George Andah indicated that he was not surprised that President Mahama was booed by the residents of Darkuman Kokompe because the economy was being mismanaged, making majority of Ghanaians to suffer economic hardships.
“What the residents of Darkuman did is not different from what is happening in other parts of the country. Go to the constituency level and you will see that the people there are also calling for change in government. The Battle is the Lord's," he explained.
“What is happening all over the country clearly tells us that President Mahama’s time is up,” he added.
George Andah accused the current government of economic mismanagement, incompetence and corruption, burdening Ghanaians and businesses with numerous taxes, high utility tariff, and so much suffering.
He emphasized on the need for Ghanaians to bear in mind that this year’s elections is about the present and future generation and urged them to vote massively for the flagbearer of NPP Nana Akufo -Addo in the upcoming general elections.
He reminded all Ghanaians about Nana Akufo -Addo's promise of Jobs, creating prosperity and equal opportunities for all, whilst implementing Free SHS, 1-District 1-Factory, Restoration of nursing and teacher trainee allowances, 1million dollars for each Constituency, Reviving of the NHIS, establishment of Zongo Development Fund amongst others with job creation being the topmost agenda to better the lives of all Ghanaians when the NPP is elected.
