We’ll secure 65% votes in Ashaiman –NPP PC

The New Patriotic Party Parliamentary Candidate for the Ashaiman Constituency in the Greater Accra Alhaji Labaran Yakubu Barry says the party has planned to secure 65 % of the total valid votes in December 7 polls.

The total voting population of Ashaiman Constituency currently stands at 140,000.

Alhaji Yakubu Barry is facing Mr. Ernest Henry Norgbey, who is contesting the seat on the ticket of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Alhaji Yakubu Barry speaking to Oman FM in an exclusive interview stated that the party is poised for victory in Ashaiman.

He expressed confidence of annexing the seat from the incumbent NDC for the opposition party given the level of underground work the party had done.

“We have put a lot of measures in place and come December 7 we are winning the seat,” he declared.

Meanwhile, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is expected to visit Ashaiman Constituency on Friday to address a rally as part of his tour of Greater Accra region.
