A former National Youth Organiser of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Mr. Abu Ramadan has claimed that the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) is sponsoring three of the major political parties in the country with an amount of 2.7million cedis to enable them to contest the December 7 polls.

He further claimed that NDC had also given 500,000 cedis to each of the smaller parties to enable them to file their nomination forms.

Abu Ramadan made these claims on Oman FM’s political analysis “progromme “Boiling Point” hosted by Martin Kwabena Kwakye.

He indicated that the motive of NDC was to ensure that more presidential candidates appear on the ballot paper so that it would be difficult for voters to identify presidential candidate of the NPP Nana Akufo-Addo.

“The agenda is to make sure that Nana Akufo-Addo will appear in-between the middle so that it will be difficult for the voters to identify Nana Akufo-Addo because the candidates will be many on the ballot paper,” he claimed.

Abu Ramadan also revealed that EC was planning to place United People’s Party (UPP) close to NPP in other to confuse the voters because both parties have similar colours.

To ensure that President John Dramani Mahama is made visible to voters, Abu Ramadan stated EC has planned to place President Mahama either at the top or at the bottom.

“If we need to buy torch light for some of the voters to enable them to identify the candidates in the afternoon we will be ready to do it,” he suggested.

Abu Ramadan, who accused chairperson of the Electoral Commission Madam Charlotte of planning to rig the elections in favour of President Mahama, warned her to shelve any such plan saying, it would be resisted.

Abu Ramadan accused the leadership of the PNC for aligning the party with NDC for their parochial interest.

He warned that members of the party will not sit aloof for the Chairman of the party Mr. Bernard Mornah and his cohorts to destroy the PNC.

“We won’t sit down for you to corrupt that party. We won’t sit down for you to sell the soul of that party to the NDC,” he stated.
