Embattled New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for Tema West Constituency in the Greater Accra region, Hon. Irene Naa Torshie Addo has finally made amends with her political rival and NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the constituency, Mr. Kingsley Carlos Ahenkorah.

Hon. Naa Torshie lost the seat to Mr. Carlos Ahenkorah during the NPP parliamentary primaries in July last year.

She secured 273 votes out of the 776 total votes cast while Carlos Ahenkorah obtained 503 votes.

Naa Torshie, who was shocked of her defeat in the primaries, fought her rival by resorting to all means including hiding behind some disgruntled supporters of her party to sue Mr. Carlos Ahenkorah.

The suit was however dismissed giving Mr. Ahenkorah a clean bill to contest this year’s election.

The two have since been at each other’s throat anytime they had the opportunity to speak at a political event.

Many had thought Hon. Irene Naa will never smoke peace pipe with Mr. Carlos Ahenkorah and join him to campaign for NPP to secure victory during December 7 polls, due to her posture.

But the embattled MP surprised the party when she used the visit of the flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s to Tema, Friday, 23rd September, 2016, to end their disagreements.

Hon. Irene Naa Torshie who appeared very cheerful at a rally in Tema Community 2 where Nana Addo begun his tour, hugged Mr. Carlos Ahenkorah and raised his hand up and endorsed his candidature.

She pledged her support for him and appealed to all her supporters to vote for him and Nana Addo on December 7.
