The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is incensed over what it described as deliberate plans by the ruling National Democratic Congress(NDC) in connivance with the National Security to instigate divisions within NPP ahead of the December 7 general elections in a bid to portray the party as a violent party.
Speaking on Oman FM’s political analysis programme “Boiling Point” Mr. John Boadu revealed that his party had intercepted a “memo” allegedly written by the NDC, but creates an impression that it emanated from one of the committees within the NPP and forwarded to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
According to him, the said memo captures very damning and disparaging comments about some gurus in the party including former President John Agyekum as well as Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu (II).
He explained that the memo sought to portray flagbearer of the NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo as vindictive person who had bad blood for the likes of John Agyekum and Otumfuo Osei Tutu (II) so they could be angry with him.
Mr. John Boadu noted that a portion of the said memo read that “As noted earlier this resounding success in silencing your opponents in the party has left in its wake some threats.”
Mr. John Boadu expressed disgust at President John Dramani Mahama for given his party green light to perpetuate what he described as wickedness against NPP.
Describing the move as heartbreaking, Mr. John Boadu stressed that his party is shocked that NDC could have time to plan to sow seeds of confusion in NPP but can’t reason to find solutions to the myriads of challenges confronting the country.
“Its heart breaking that we have such people in this country. They have time to plan evil but they can’t reason enough to solve problems,” he stated.
The acting General Secretary of NPP minced no words by describing NDC as satanic entity.
“Why is it that we are now living with demons in this country? They don’t want peace in our party. What they care about creating divisions so that they can win power,” he declared.
He hinted that his party would be organizing series of press conferences to expose the wickedness and lies of the ruling NDC and President Mahama.
