A former Deputy Attorney General and Minister of Justice under erstwhile Kufuor administration, Hon. Kwame Osei Prempeh, has urged Ghanaians to reject President Mahama’s second term bid by voting against him in the upcoming general elections.
According to him, “President Mahama is destroying Ghana and so I’m urging Ghanaians to arise by eschewing partisanship and vote him out this year so that Ghana will be restored.”
The former Member of Parliament for Nsuta-Kwamang Constituency in the Ashanti Region explained that President Mahama doesn’t deserve a second term because he has been a wasteful and a bad steward, since he became President of Ghana.
His comment follows revelation by founder of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Madam Akua Donkor, that she had been offered two brand new vehicles plus a house by President John Dramani Mahama.
He accused President Mahama for dissipating state funds recklessly in the face of widespread deprivation among Ghanaians.
Speaking on Oman FM’s morning show programme “National Agenda” Hon. Osei Prempeh said, he would be surprised if God fearing Christians and Muslims in the country cast their votes for President Mahama.
In what could be described as a judgment, Hon. Osei Prempeh stated that Christians and Muslims, who would cast their votes for President Mahama to continue to destroy the country, would be denied heaven after death.
“If you’re a Ghanaian and you’re suffering because of bad leadership of President Mahama; if you can’t pay for your children’s school fees...if you can’t afford three square meal a day…if your child is dying because you can’t afford healthcare….and in spite of all the corruption in you will still vote for NDC and President Mahama, then I don’t know the kind of person you are,” he said.
“I want to say that if you’re a Muslim stop going to mosque….if you’re a Christian stop going to church because you won’t go to heaven. You will go to hell straight,” he added.
Hon. Osei Prempeh, who described himself as a good student of the Bible, argued that God created mankind in his own image and likeness, adding that God doesn’t want mankind to suffer.
He said scriptures have proven that God wish that people prosper and enjoy good life.
According to him, President Mahama’s style of leadership contradicts a portion of the Bible, which says that leaders should seek the prosperity of their country, hence should be rejected.
