Twumasi stars in Astana's UEFA Champions League stalemate

Black Stars striker Patrick Twumasi was handed a starting role by Astana manager Stanimir Stoilov in the Blue and Yellows goalless stalemate with Zalgiri in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round. The 22-year-old lasted 92 minutes before being replaced by Despotovi?. Twumasi was impressive as Astana dominated play with a chunk of the possession, hitting as many as seven shots on target but could not find the all-important away goal in Vilnius. Astana reached the group phase of the Champions League last season and are eager to replicate the same feat this term.
