The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the Awutu Senya West in the Central Region George Nenyi Andah has descended heavily on the former Transport Minister Dzifa Attivor describing her tribal comments as the highest form of “stupidity and foolishness.”
He added that the ethnocentric comments made by Mrs. Dzifa Attivor were very irresponsible and in bad taste because it portrays Voltarians as people who do not reason.
“It is the highest form of irresponsibility and disrespect to the Voltarians across the country,” George Andah asserted.
The former Transport Minister has come under a barrage of attacks after her claim that the NPP will jail her and some NDC members from the Volta Region, if they win the November 7 polls.
Addressing party members in the Ketu South Constituency, Mrs. Dzifa Attivor, called on Voltarians to reject the NPP because the party prosecuted only Voltarians during their 8-years in government.
Citing people like Dan Abodakpi and Victor Selormey who were jailed by the erstwhile Kufuor administration with Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as Attorney General, Mrs. Attivor, expressed fears that an NPP regime would continue where it left off by jailing her and Minister of Agriculture Hon. Fiifi Kwetey.
Speaking on Oman FM’s National Agenda, Mr. George Andah condemned Mrs. Dzifa Attivor for her ethnocentric bigotry stating that such utterances, if encouraged could spell doom for the country.
Venting his spleen on the former Transport Minister, George Andah told Fiifi Boafo, host of the programme that “Excuse my French. This is the highest form of stupidity. It is the highest form of foolishness for Dzifa to stand before Voltarians and make those utterances.”
“What has Dzifa done to fear that if NPP comes to power she will be prosecuted and jailed,” he quizzed.
Mr. George Andah, who accused the governing National Democratic Congress of engaging in what has become known as create, loot and share administration questioned whether she is part of that looting brigade.
He called on the NDC and President John Dramani Mahama to distance themselves from those comments since it does not augur well for the party.
