EC to employ 146,000 temporal staff for November 7 polls

The Electoral Commission has hinted that it will employ about 146,000 temporal staff to beef up the staff strenght of the commission for this year's general elections.The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs. Charlotte Osei disclosed this at the launch of the commission's five year strategic plan in Accra on Tuesday, April 26, 2016.The commission currently have a permanent staff strength of about 1,400.However, Mrs. Charlotte said there is the need for commission to bring onboard more hands to assist the commission to execute its electoral mandate.Story by: Michael Creg Afful
