Volta for Change, a group championing for change in voting pattern by Voltarians says it is working very hard to ensure that Voltarians vote against President Mahama and the NDC during the November 7 polls.
The governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) has described the Volta Region as its World Bank.
President Mahama will on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 be touring the Volta Region and cut sod for the construction of some road network in the region.
Speaking to Oman News ahead of President Mahama’s visit, spokesperson of Volta for Change Godwin Setsofia accused the governing NDC for failing Voltarians, despite voting for the party since 1993.
He said Voltarians are so much disappointed in the NDC because of the party’s failure to develop the region as they had expected.
According to him, they have allowed themselves to be used as “voting machines” by the NDC for far too long adding that “we have decided to reject the NDC and try a different party during this year’s election.”
Godwin Setsofia cautioned chiefs in the Volta Region against pledging the support of the region to President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC.
