Akufo Addo is the most experienced politician in Africa _ Lecturer

The flagbearer of the largest opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has been touted as the most experienced politician in the whole of Africa.Economist and Senior Lecturer at the Kumasi Polytechnic Thomas Kusi Boafo, who gave the verdict noted that the NPP flagbearer is the only person, who has been well groomed, when it comes to contemporary politics in Africa.

Akufo Addo is the most experienced politician in the whole of Africa. There is no politician in Africa who can match him as far as I'm concerned," he stressed.Speaking in an interview with Oman FM Thomas Kusi Boafo, said Nana Addo has been groomed well by the NPP for several years saying that he stand among all his contenders.

Comparing Nana Addo to other opposition party leaders in Africa, Mr Kusi Boafo did not mince words by saying that Akufo Addo is an excellent man.

According to him, he is the only opposition leader who was able to obtain more than 47% of the total votes cast during his first attempt as flagbearer, and increased that votes in his second attempt.

Thomas Boafo, who accused President Mahama led NDC administration of failing in both monetary and fiscal policies leading to the early resignation of the Central Bank Governor said Nana Addo is likely to annex power for the NPP this year.

Apart from Nana Addo's personality, Mr Kusi Boafo said the NPP has a capable running mate in the person of Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.According to him, Dr Bawumia, who is being described by many Ghanaians as economic prophet resonate well with Muslims, Christians , academia,and professional bodies saying that it is a plus for the NPPHe added that people in the three northern regions see Dr Bawumia as their last hope since President Mahama , who hails from the north has disappointed them by his poor leadership.
