President John Dramani Mahama has been challenged to go to the streets or market places and engage the traders in a debate to ascertain whether they are impressed about the way his administration is managing the affairs of the country.

New Patriotic Party Parliamentary Candidate for Ningo-Prampram Sylvester Tetteh threw the challenge while commenting on President Mahama’s call on the NPP presidential Candidate Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo to debate him for making some contentious statements.

Speaking on Oman FM National Agenda Show Thursday, Sylvester Tetteh said angrily that President Mahama doesn’t need Nana Addo but rather needs the ordinary Ghanaians on the streets who are suffering because of his poor leadership.

“President John Mahama should go to the Madina market and stretch his hands and tell the market woman’s that he has put money in their pockets and listen to what they will say. That is the debate.

President Mahama should go to the Ashaiman market and tell them that he brought “I care for you” and “Better Ghana Agenda” policies so they should prove him wrong and he will hear what they will tell him.

“I dare President Mahama to go to AGI and point to them individually that their lives have been transformed as a result of policies his administration introduced. I dare President Mahama to engage Ghanaians if he wants debate on fuel prices, when crude oil price is falling on the world market,” Sylvester Tetteh stated.

Making a mockery of President Mahama, the vociferous NPP parliamentary candidate requested that he is given the opportunity to set the topics for the debate.

“The topics for the debate will be centered on corruption if I’m given the opportunity to select the topics.”

According to him, President Mahama will fail woefully if the debate is centered on corruption because President Mahama has demonstrated to Ghanaians that he is corrupt.

He lambasted President Mahama for mismanaging the country and yet introducing shambolic “changing lives, transforming lives slogan.”

Sylvester Tetteh accused the governing NDC administration under John Mahama for grabbing Ga lands.

“Indeed they have transformed lives by grabbing all the Ga lands,” he said.
