A former Minister of Employment under the erstwhile Kufuor administration Abubakar Saddique Boniface has asked Ghanaians to vote for a party with a clear vision to transform the economy, as the country goes to polls on November 7 this year.

According to him, it will be dangerous for Ghanaians to go the polls without analyzing the manifestos of the various political parties and be sure of which one has the right policies to develop the country.

“Look for the party with a clear vision to transform the country’s economy. Get their manifestoes and analyse it before you go and vote,” Boniface charged. He added that “we should also assess the competencies of the various aspiring parliamentary candidates who are contesting these year’s elections as well as their policies, to serve as a guide so that we elect the right people to represent us in parliament.”

Hon. Saddique Boniface, who is the NPP Parliamentary candidate for Madina Constituency, was speaking in Ashaiman during the annual celebrations of Damba Festival organized by the Gonja Youth Association in Ashaiman and Tema on Sunday.

He said it was regrettable that many Ghanaians don’t analyze manifestoes of the political parties before they go and vote during elections.

He charged Ghanaians to examine their lives, whether their living conditions have improved or become worse, since the National Democratic Congress assumed office almost eight years ago.

Abubakar Boniface who rolled out the National Youth Employment (NYEP) under the Kufuor administration accused Mahama administration for collapsing the youth employment programme.

This development he said has resulted in increasing unemployment in the country. He urged Ghanaians to vote for the New Patriotic Party because the party has a clear vision to transform the country’s economy.

On his part the Gonja Youth Chief for Ashaiman and Tema Alhassan Kamel called on the youth to examine the manifestoes of the various political parties to know which of them favours the youth before voting in this year’s polls.
