Mahama lied over Kukuom-Goaso road-Young Patriots

A pro- opposition group in the Asunafo North Constituency in the Bring Ahafo Region, Young Patriots is incensed over attempt by president Mahama to claim achievement for the construction of Kukuom-Goaso road. According to the group,the road was tarred 16 years ago and expressed shock that president Mahama could go to the extent of saying that Kukuom -Goaso road is one of his monumental achievement during the State of the Nation Address last Thursday. "Asunafo North Young Patriots cannot sit down unconcerned to allow the president throw dust into the eyes o the people of Asunafo North and the entire nation as a whole." "We are calling on the president to go back and reverse his claimance of constructing the road ,if not we shall petition the Parliament for his impeachment," the group demanded in a statement. Below is the full statement We ignored some comments pronounced by the president when he was delivering the state of the nation address on 26 February ,2015 as mere political talk and treated it with the greatest contempt it deserves . President Mahama claimed the construction of Kukuom-Goaso road as one of his monumental achievements meanwhile Kukuom-Goaso road was tarred 16 years ago by a construction firm called Mota and Companhia company. The people of Asunafo North took that matter on a lighter note but it is so surprising that, during the recent and his last state of the nation address, the MCE of Asunafo North Hon.Mohammed Kwaku Doku lied to the president again and for that matter His Excellency John Mahama repeated the construction of Kukuom-Goaso road as his achievement. Asunafo North Young Patriots cannot sit unconcerned to allow the President to throw dust into the eyes of the people of Asunafo North and the entire nation as a whole. We are calling on the President to go back and reverse his claimance of constructing the Kukuom-Goaso road, if not we shall petition the Parliament for his impeachment.President Mahama sworn an oath of allegiance . So he cannot be lying to the people . President Mahama and his NDC has failed and disappointed the constituents of Asunafo North and we think he cannot use this to cover his mess. Or is it that some allocations were made for that road construction and someone has squandered it ? We need more answers than questions. We would like to use this opportunity as a conduit to urge all Ghanaians especially the constituents of Asunafo North to vote Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Hon.
