The Outspoken NPP Member of Parliament to the Assin Central Constituency in the Central Region Hon. Kennedy Agyapong is asking the Inspector General of Police John Kudalor to invite one Mugabe, a presenter with Montie FM for questioning. According to him, a day before the gruesome murder of the Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, the presenter stated emphatically on air that one of the NPP MP's in the Eastern Region was going to die. He said the presenter repeatedly said NPP will lose one of their MP's and that will pave way for a bye elections to be conducted. Hon. Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu was stabbed to death on Tuesday dawn by some unknown assailants in his Shiashe residence in Accra. Speaking on Oman FM's Political Analysis programme "Boiling Point" Kennedy Agyapong argued that the presenter must not be allowed to go scot free. "I'm expecting Kudalor to invite Mugabe for questioning for making such a dangerous statements on Monday and just a day after JB Adu was murdered." "What did he know before he made those statements," he quizzed. Hon Kennedy Agyapong is incensed that Mugabe is still walking freely after making those statements. "If I was the one who made those statements, I would have been arrested by now," he argued. He said the NPP was monitoring closely how the police, national security and the BNI will handle the murder of the MP and his call them to invite the presenter. He warned that the party will advise itself if concrete steps are not taking by the security agencies to restore confidence in them. Story by: Michael Creg Afful
