Bishop Hampel

A UK based Ghanaian Pastor and founder of the Liberty Global Christian Church, Bishop Dr. Prince Hampel has charged Ghanaians to make a determination by voting for a “right person” who will transform the country as we go to the polls in November 7 this year.

He urged Ghanaians to desist from voting based on the appearance of the candidate and rather seek the face of God in prayers in order to make the right choice.

“Pray and perceive in your spirit God will show you the person you should vote for,” Bishop Hampel charged.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Oman News after ministering at the Inner Court Family Chapel in Tema Community 3, Bishop Hampel emphasized the need for Ghanaians to elect right leaders to manage the country during this year’s polls.

“Vote for the right people this year,” he said.

He called on Ghanaians to ensure that this year’s general elections were peaceful.

According to him, Ghana has conducted peaceful elections since the nation adopted the democratic rule in 1992 and cautioned politicians against any acts which could plunge the country into war.

“Let’s not expect that there will be problems during the elections. I’m saying this because if we do, bad things can happen,” Bishop Hampel cautioned.

Touching briefly on the recent arms seizure in Kumasi and Aflao boarder, Bishop Hampel questioned how those guns found their way into the country despite the presence of security personnel’s at country’s borders.

He reminded the security personnel’s in the country, particularly those at the borders that they have been put there to prevent those dealing in illegal activities such as arms trade from entering this country and charged them to be vigilant.

“I pray that those who brought in the arms to cause trouble will not be able to do so in Jesus name,” Bishop Hampel declared.

Apostle Lord Mensah

Meanwhile, Vice President of Tema Ministers Organization (TMO) Apostle Lord Mensah has charged pastors to call their members in Mahama administration to order particularly those whose comments threaten the country’s peace.

“Our colleague pastors should do well to call their members who are in government to order … They should advise them and rebuke them if necessary,” Apostle Lord Mensah charged.

He told Oman News that “we have gotten to the point where pastors must not only pray for peace but should also engage the members who are issuing threats to stop.
