John Dumelo lacks integrity - Nana Addo’s aide

Special aide to the 2016 Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party, Francis Asensu Boakye has lashed out at Ghanaian actor John Dumelo, describing him as an untruthful person.

According to him, John Dumelo lacks integrity and trust and therefore Ghanaians should disregard him.

Francis Asensu Boakye was reacting to comments by John Dumelo which suggested that the 2016 Presidential candidate of New Patriotic Party is not capable of winning the General elections.

"I have nothing against Nana Addo but I only see one person being sworn in come January 2017 and it's not him (Nana)," John Dumelo tweeted.

But Mr. Asensu Boakye said he is shocked about what he described as a sudden turn around by the Ghanaian actor.

According to him, John Dumelo, who is a known supporter of President Mahama approached Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo in 2015 and promised to campaign for him in 2016 elections.

He said John Dumelo told Nana Addo that he was going to dump President Mahama because his administration has become too corrupt.

“Sometime last year he (John Dumelo) called me and said he wanted to have an appointment with Nana Addo. So I quickly arranged for him to meet Nana Addo and he actually met him.”

Francis Boakye stated that during the discussions John Dumelo made it clear to Nana Addo that he was frustrated by the level of corruption and incompetence of President John Dramani Mahama and pledged to campaign for Nana Addo during this year’s election.

“He went to the extent of saying that he will be going to all the ten regions to campaign for Nana Addo,”he alleged.

“Personally I won’t trust him because what he has done is a breach of trust, integrity, and honesty,” he noted.
