Arsenal will have to fork out much more than originally anticipated for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Borussia Dortmund striker has attracted significant interest from Arsenal, while Manchester United and Liverpool have also been keeping tabs.
But it seems Aubameyang’s value has shot up.
La Liga expert Kike Marin tweeted: “Borussia Dortmund want £53.5m for Aubameyang. Too much for Wenger!”

The Gunners may have to fend off Liverpool if they want to sign Javier Hernandez, according to reports.
Hernandez failed to make his mark at United, but has been revitalised at Bayer Leverkusen, scoring seven goals in his last five appearances.
His form has not gone unnoticed and according to Spanish publication Don Balon, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham are all monitoring him.
Arsene Wenger reportedly faces an uphill battle to sign Granit Xhaka.
The Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder has been valued at £37.6million, with Liverpool also in the hunt.
But German paper Bild claim Chelsea are interested in signing the 23-year-old.
Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl however is doubtful whether Xhaka will leave before the window closes.
“There are always situations where every club has to think of each option," Eberl said.
"It [a possible sale of Xhaka] depends partly on our sporting success. It depends on the performances of Granit and of course on the price.”
