Vociferous Communications Member of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) Charles Owusu has launched a scathing attack on President John Dramani Mahama describing him as an “unintelligent thief.”

Speaking on Oman FM’s political analysis programme Boiling Point Thursday Charles Owusu expressed outrage over government decision to spend GH3.6million to rebrand 116 Metro Mass Transit buses.

Describing the act as a daylight robbery perpetuated on Ghanaians by President John Mahama”s administration, Charles Owusu went berserk alleging that President Mahama is a chief thief.

Host of the programme Martin Kwabena Kwakye who did not take kindly to the choice of words, made several attempts for him to retract those words, but his appeal was not heeded to as Charles Owusu continued his tirade.

He could not fathom why the Mahama led administration would spend a colossal 3.6million to rebrand buses when majority of the youth were resorting to popular soccer gambling called “betting” as a result of lack of jobs.

“As a result of poor leadership style of President Mahama majority of the youth are now depending on betting for survival,” he alleged.

He charged the youth to rise up against government stating that their future is bleak if things continue the way it is going.

According to Charles Owusu, he was shocked when he looked at the new MMT buses and saw that changing lives had been boldly written at the back.

In what could be considered as an attempt to mock President Mahama, Charles Owusu said he couldn’t believe his eyes than to say “wow.”

“Because I know people who used to go to China and bring in goods but they now go to Togo……so their lives have changed…I know those in Abossey Okai who go to Europe and import spare parts have stopped ….so their lives have changed…..business men and women who used to change 100,000 cedis for 100,000 dollars now use more cedis to change for few dollars ……so their lives have changed..” he observed.
