Ghana will blossom like a rose if corrupt politicians stop stealing - Daniel Kolenda

Renowned International Preacher, Evangelist Daniel Kolenda has admonished corrupt politicians in the country to stop stealing from the state coffers.

According to him, God abhors anyone who steals to accumulate wealth for his or her personal aggrandizement.

He stressed that if resources which are supposed to be used to accelerate developments and bring relief to the masses are stolen by those in the helm of affairs; the economy will stagnate and creates economic hardships.

Evangelist Daniel Kolenda was preaching at the just ended Tema-Ashaiman Reinhard Bonnke Gospel Crusade organized by Christ for All Nation (CfAN) in collaboration with Christian churches in Ghana.

Over 200,000 Christians and non-Christians from within the Tema metropolis and Ashaiman municipality attended the crusade.

Preaching on the theme “Righteousness exalts a nation” Evangelist Daniel Kolenda who quoted Luke 19:1-6 recounted how Zacchaeus, a tax collector robbed tax payers by doubling the taxes they were supposed to pay and pocketing the difference.

He said Zacchaeus did that for so many years but “when he encountered Jesus Christ he repented and even offered to pay back four times of all the monies he had fraudulently acquired.”

He told the gathering that it was not enough for them to come to a gospel crusade and lift up their hands and pray and go back and continue sinning.

Evangelist Daniel Kolenda said “it is wonderful to attend a gospel crusade” but that he said “it is not good enough since there is more to being a follower of Christ than just attending a crusade.

“If you are going to be a follower of Jesus Christ your life must change. You cannot live the way you used to live. You cannot do things you used to do. You cannot go the way you used to go. You cannot be the person you used to be. This is because “if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.”

“Can you imagine what will happen tomorrow if suddenly all the thieves in Tema and Ashaiman confess their sins and stop stealing? Can you imagine what will happen if all the corrupt politicians stop stealing from your people? Can you imagine what will happen if all the prostitutes stop selling their bodies and armed robbers stop stealing? Evangelist Kolenda quizzed.

According to him, “This whole region (referring to Ghana) will blossom like a rose if you repent as a people. The blessings of the Lord will rest upon you than never before …your businesses will be blessed …your economy will be blessed…your strength will be blessed….your lives will be blessed. The peace of God will reign on this land and you will be famous all over the world.”
