President Mahama is a drunkard - NPP MP

The New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for Bekwai Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Joe Osei Wusu has made a startling revelation that Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama is a “heavy drunkard.”

The MP cum lawyer said he had known President Mahama to be someone who drinks alcohol heavily back in the university days and still drink alcohol heavily.

Joe Wise as he is affectionately called believes President Mahama recent public outburst was influenced by a heavy dose of alcohol.

President Mahama while speaking during the last leg of his “Transforming Lives” tour in the Volta Region accused the minority of continually asking his administration what they have used the numerous loans for.

“You say we haven’t used the loans for anything and that we are misusing monies. Meanwhile every loan we take is taken through Parliament for approval so what have they been doing? Have they been sleeping? “They approve the loans in Parliament; there is no single loan we have taken without taking it through Parliament; they should come and tell us what they have been doing.”

Speaking to Oman News, Hon. Osei Wusu, who described President Mahama as a nice man said he could not have made those comments if he was not intoxicated with alcohol.

Asked whether he had ever shared alcohol with President Mahama he responded in the negative, but was quick to add that “a lot of people know about this. There are people he drinks with who can testify about this.”
