Outspoken New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for the Assin Central Constituency in the Central Region, Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong went bonkers on Tuesday alleging that some big wigs within his party go and queue at the Flagstaff House for money and juicy contracts just to scheme against the party’s chances of winning the 2016 general elections.

Speaking on Oman FM’s Evening Political Analysis Program Boiling Point, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong threatened to mention their names, but was prevented by the host Martin Kwabena Kwakye from doing so.

However, giving a hint of those party big wigs he claimed to be queuing at the presidency each day for money and juicy contracts he said “ This were the first people who condemned the National Executive Committee and the Council of Elders of the party for suspending former Chairman Mr. Paul Afoko.”

Akompreko as he is affectionately called said, those NPP big wigs have been offered oil blocs by President Mahama administration to explore, adding that those who also had their hotels confisticated by late President Mills have been return to them.

He said he always being ridiculed by his media friends who are close to the presidency that he (Agyapong) is fighting for nothing because “a lot of your party people are on NDC pay roll and their aim is to create confusion so you don’t win the elections in 2016.”

“When you come to the Flagstaff, you will see them in a queue going to see the Chief of Staff,” Kennedy Agyapong quoted his source as saying.

When the host of the program suggested that those media friends may be giving him false information, Kennedy Agyapong, who has won the praise of many Ghanaians for giving credible information who has exposed corruption in current administration quizzed the host “Do you know where I get my information from. Before I come and sit here and talk I have all my facts right.”

“Whatever meeting President Mahama holds in the presidency before he will finish, I already have the information. Naturally, I like President Mahama so that’s why I sometimes hide some of the information I have without putting it into the public domain.

The opposition New Patriotic Party has for some time now been in the news for bad reasons.

It all started when the party’s Upper East Regional Chairman late Adams Mahama was killed through acid attack.

His death triggered confusion when it emerged that Gregory Afoko, a younger brother of Mr. Paul Afoko was among those who smeared acid on Mr. Adams Mahama leading to his untimely death.

Subsequently, the party’s Council of Elders and the National Executive Committee met and suspended Mr. Paul Afoko over gross insubordination.

As though his suspension will put matters to rest that has been proven to be elusive as the party’s internal wrangling continues to deepen ahead of the 2016 general elections.

The latest to happen in the NPP was the raid at the party’s head office at Asylum Down on Monday by some armed military personnel.

Touching on the internal wranglings in the party, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong accused Mr Paul Afoko of conniving with the Managing Editor of the Al-hajj Newspaper Alhaji Bature for him to write damaging stories about the party.

The angry Assin Central MP claimed that Mr Afoko calls Mr Bature and instruct him on what to write about the NPP.

“This is the guy afoko calls and brief him on what to write about NPP. It is our own people have connived with them to destroy NPP because of their parochial interest.”
